There has been a refresh of the Visitor centre in the Railway Station. Kathryn Macneil and Julia Lamb have left the Centre to move onto new opportunities. Their contribution to the industry and region has been outstanding and we wish to them the best on their new journey.
Taking over the reigns is Barry Bickerton. Being fresh to Mount Barker, he has a few ideas on how to promote the region. Get the tourists off the highway and discover our little spot of heaven. Also joining him is Katherine Malcolm who has had vast experience in the region and worked in tourism previously.
With spectacular walk’s and the mountain bike track soon to open there is a lot to look forward to and opportunity for the growth of the region via tourism.
If you have an interest in tourism or simply ideas that can promote our community please drop by the Visitor centre for a chat. We would love to hear your thoughts.
We are looking for fresh faces as volunteers and committee members to drive us to new heights. If you can spare some time and want to get involved, please come on in. We also have a 10c container deposit out the entry of the station if you would like to support our Visitor’s Centre.
