    Description

3.5 kilometres return – difficulty medium – allow 3 hours return. Approximate elevation: 856m. A feature worth the effort with one stretch being difficult and steep in spots .This walk includes three peaks linked by a plateau. The first third of the path is steep but the remainder is easy. It takes in sweeping views of Toolbrunup and other peaks to the south-west.

A boulder-strewn valley near the start and rocky spires on the peaks of Mt Trio make this an intriguing walk.

Mount Trio comprises three separate peaks linked together by a plateau. The walk commences with a steep climb that leads to a broad saddle between the north and east peaks. From the saddle it’s an easy stroll to the north peak where you can enjoy sweeping views of Mt Toolbrunup and mountains to the south-west. Montane thicket on the upper levels of the peaks puts on a colourful display of wildflowers in spring and early summer. The trail starts and finishes at a picnic area set amongst shady trees, a pleasant place to rest after your walk.  For more information visit TrailsWA, click on the website link above.
