Mondurup Reserve

Home To A Rich Collection Of Native Orchids

The Mondurup Reserve is in the heart of Mt Barker WA. A 500 acre Class A Reserve that is home to one of the richest collection of native orchids in Western Australia. With 41 species of native orchids identified within the 220 plant species such as butterfly spider, purple pansy, cowslip, leopard, blue sun and rattle beak orchids amongst the identified species. Leschenaultia is also abundant here. Also home to 17 mammal species, 10 frog species, 22 reptile species, 75 bird species.

You can find parking available off Langton Road, opposite the medical centre. Head through the gates, clean your shoes at the shoe cleaning station, look out for information signs and walk tracks through the reserve.
