Poachers Ridge

Poacher's Ridge is a family owned and operated vineyard just outside of Mount Barker, in the Great Southern town of Narrikup. With only 20 acres under vine, we're about the smallest single estate vineyard you can find, and located in one of the worlds largest wine regions. As much as possible, we take a minimalist approach and hand tend the vines that we quite literally live by. With this philosophy, we produce exceptional cool climate wines, driven by the terroir, governed by the seasons and a faithful expression of the land we call home.

The cellar door will be running tastings from Friday to Sunday as usual, we'll be opening up the café for some special events we've got planned for the future and the Gamekeepers Cottage is still available for stays.

Unfortunately due to a recent heavy storm, the cottage suffered quite a battering, and sadly we'll need to close to do some maintenance and repair work. Please keep an eye on our Facebook Page for updates on when the cottage is open again.

Perched on the of the edge of the winery, nestled in a private alcove amongst the gums and olive trees resides our fully self-contained Gameskeeper’s Cottage.

With sweeping views of the Porongorup Ranges, it is the perfect place to unwind from the world or to use as a base during your Great Southern adventure. Whether enjoying a wine on the deck watching the sun set over the valley, or curled up by the fire in the cool of winter, it is the ideal accommodation for a comfortable, private escape.

With a range of major tourist destinations within close proximity, including the Porongurups, Albany and Denmark, and in close, strolling distance to our cellar door, you are uniquely positioned to experience the best the Great Southern has to offer.

The cottage is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, air-conditioning, wood-fire, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, iron, ironing board, BBQ, television/DVD, stereo with iPod attachment, electric blankets and ceiling fans.
